Manchester United are said to be considering a deal for the exciting youngster Abdallah Sima.

The MEN report Sima is being considered for a summer transfer by United.

So who is Sima and what can we tell you about him?

1) 19-year-old Sima plays for Slavia Prague and helped them reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League last season.

2) He has 19 goals in all competitions this season. He also has six templates for his name. He was on the match report when Slavia ousted Leicester from the Europa League.

3) Sima has played most of his games on the right wing. He has also started three games as a center-forward this season and the MEN report that this could be his long-term position.

4) Last month Sima won his first international for Senegal. The MEN report says he would likely be eligible for a GBE from the FA, which allows him to join.

5) Sima only made his Slavia debut this season and the Czech club currently has him under contract until 2024.

What they say about him …

Sima recently received praise from Chelsea technical advisor Petr Cech.

Cech told the Czech outlet iSport: “People talk about him. When a player shows up who is successful in senior football at such a young age, scores goals and produces in Europe, the clubs notice. There aren’t many such players in Europe. “

Sima was also recently lauded by former Liverpool striker Vladimir Smicer, who spoke to Rangers ahead of Slavia’s games.

Smicer told the Scottish Daily Mail (pp. 121, 27/2): “He’s really shining and scoring goals this season. He’s not a player who always dominates a game, but he comes at the right moment to make a difference. “

Slavia seems to know they have a gem in their hands and Sima’s long contract means they are in control.

Club president Jaroslav Tvrdík was quoted by Calciomercato in December as saying: “It will take 50 million to let him go in January.”

An actual deal could cost less …

Tvrdík told iSport last month: “This winter we received an offer of £ 9m (for Sima) from a leading Premier League club. But we wouldn’t sell it for £ 20 million. We now know about summer deals in the £ 20 million to £ 25 million range.

“We have made an agreement that (Sima) can leave with a reasonable offer after the season. But now we’re talking about extending his contract for another year. “

West Ham is said to be interested, Tomas Soucek is said to have recommended David Moyes Sima, reported the Czech outlet CT Sport.

Eurosport recently reported that Arsenal are also interested.

What Sima says …

Sima says his idol is compatriot Sadio Mane, who plays for United rival Liverpool.

He was quoted by Wiw Sport: “I have more than one (inspiration). But if I have to say a name, I’ll say Sadio Mane’s. He is a reference for everyone.

“I can’t say that I’m a complex striker, but I like walking on crosses and that’s why I score so many goals with my head and feet. I hope that with this dynamic I can keep growing to score a lot more goals. “

Where would he fit in with United?

From a strategic point of view, a move for Sima would fit in with United’s plan to attract top young talent, similar to Amad’s.

Sima was able to compete with Amad for the season and Mason Greenwood.

MEN’S claim that Sima is more likely to turn out to be a striker works in his favor as it is a role where United’s long term plans are uncertain. Erling Haaland will almost certainly be too expensive.

A deal for Sima could end United’s pursuit of Jadon Sancho. Sima would be signed as the right winger first, and with Amad, Greenwood and even Facundo Pellistri as options there – there would be no room for Sancho and Sima.

One step for Sima might be smart. It would cost a third of what it would cost to sign Sancho.

United would likely try to pay an incentive fee in a similar region to Amad, which could climb to £ 37million.

Sima is an interesting player and like United’s other possible transfer options, a move depends on how it fits as part of an overall puzzle.

If United’s budget is focused on the wing, Sancho could get the nod. If a defensive midfielder or central defender is the top priority, Sima is more likely than the more expensive Dortmund ace.
