It’s easy to be suspicious of a new name being associated with Manchester United. But last summer we didn’t expect the ties with Amad Diallo to be too much and then the club signed him from Atalanta.

Another player who fits a similar profile of exciting young talent is Polish child prodigy Kacper Kozlowski.

Calciomercato reports that United are watching the promising talent alongside Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.

Who is Kozlowski and why are United looking out for him?

2) Kozlowski is in Poland’s national squad and became the youngest player in Euro 2020 last week, breaking a record set by Jude Bellingham in the previous game.

3) Kozlowski is 17 and will be 18 in October. The Brexit rules mean United can’t sign him that transfer window – unless there’s a complicated return loan agreement in place through at least January.

4) The central midfielder made his first team debut at his club when he was just 15. His first goal came last April.

He also pays attention to United …

Kozlowski names a Manchester United player from the past and another from the present among his idols.

The young midfielder was quoted by Goal as saying: “Since I was a little boy, my idol has been Cristiano Ronaldo. Over time, however, I started to like and see Paul Pogba more. “

Tonight he could face United’s Victor Lindelof when Poland face Sweden in the final group game of Euro 2020.

Commenting on his style of play, Kozlowski said: “I think I can give the team more as an attacking midfielder, but I can also work as a defensive midfielder.

“I work on both sides of my game, offensively and defensively, but I feel better in an advanced role. I am a player who likes to compete and fight for everything, take risks and like to play one on one or even one on two. “

Small investment, strong competition

Even with his undoubtedly inflated price by participating in Euro 2020, Kozlowski would not cost much. United could likely get him for a maximum of £ 15m.

The problem is the combination of competition and Brexit rules. Big clubs like Barcelona and Juventus are interested in it and could catch him right away. United can’t do this but there is a chance it could work in our favor if their club prefers the loan option.

A report by Eurosport claimed in March that United wanted to make a summer signing with the profile of a young aspiring midfielder after missing out on Bellingham last year.

Kozlowski fits into the bill and could be a player United could take a risk on in hopes that he could become a first-team option from 2022/23 and add to the squad when Paul Pogba leaves for a free transfer.

At the moment, it’s more rumor and speculation linking Kozlowski than anything concrete, but he is a player to watch out for as he could have a very bright future, be it at United or elsewhere.
