Man Utd v Liverpool team news

Solskjaer told his pre-game press conference that he had no new injury concerns ahead of the game.

That means Marcus Rashford and Eric Bailly should be fine to play.

Phil Jones and Anthony Martial are long-term absenteeism, but everyone else should argue, save for late-night issues.

Solskjaer can play his best team here as he knows that United’s Europa League advantage means he can rest anyone who needs him in Italy on Thursday.

Our prediction: United against Liverpool

These major clashes are always difficult to name.

There have been some boring matches between the teams in recent years, but the FA Cup clash mentioned above was an exciting end-to-end affair.

United are the team in better shape and play under less pressure. As such, United should be well placed to take advantage of Liverpool’s persistent defensive weaknesses.

The Reds have been wasteful in front of the gate lately too. While United must be ahead, there is nothing to worry about.

Jürgen Klopp has also never led a Liverpool team to victory at Old Trafford.

We’ll never do anything but support United against the team we love to beat best.

Our prediction: United 2-1 Liverpool
