Tyrell Malacia has been pictured working out as he closes in on his move to Manchester United.

The Feyenoord defender was seen getting in shape with a personal trainer, who wrote on Instagram that he is ‘ready for every challenge’.

The Athletic report Malacia is set to sign for the Red Devils in a £15 million move after the Red Devils bettered an offer from Lyon.

French newspaper L’Equipe reported Malacia informed Lyon his preference was to join Manchester United, and Voetbal Primeur report a deal could be announced today.

It appears Malacia is still in the Netherlands, only a short flight away from Manchester, and personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

The Times reports Malacia earns just £13,000 a week at Feyenoord and will receive a ‘hefty pay rise’ at United, although by how much is currently unclear.

Several of United’s players have already returned to training and Malacia will want to be up to speed when he joins, ahead of the club’s pre-season tour.

Malacia was on international duty with the Netherlands up until mid-June. If a deal is concluded quickly, his first Manchester United training session could be next week, along with the rest of the Red Devils’ international players.
