Manchester United finished second in the Premier League last season and are hoping to get even better in 2021/22.
It won’t be easy as City is only spending £ 100m on Jack Grealish and they could make other additions as well.
In any case, it won’t just be between United and City. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer believes there are four teams that can win the title this season.
When asked if he believed United could lift the title, Solskjaer told The Guardian: “I’d rather be an optimist and wrong than a pessimist and I’m right. Of course, these guys can do this with maximum effort and maximum sacrifice.
“It feels like this season is one of the strongest Premier League seasons. City and Liverpool have fought each other for a while, but we and Chelsea have invested well and should consider ourselves potential challengers. “

Four teams in the mix
Liverpool took a step back last season and suffered injuries. But they ended up strong and will want a title challenge this season after making the top four.
Delighted with their surprise Champions League win, Chelsea plan to buy a striker before the transfer window closes.
It would be a surprise if either of them ended up outside the top 4 alongside City, and they will think the same for United too.
This season will feel different than the last one as the fans are back in the stadiums and some teams are coping with the change better than others.
However, it’s really positive to be here and discuss United’s challenge for the title this season.
In the last two campaigns, we couldn’t really say or mean that, with United so far back before a ball was kicked.
Solskjaer has helped move United forward and into a competitive position and two high profile players have been added to the squad this summer even though they may not be ready to start.
A long season awaits you with three more trophies. There’s one preseason game left, then it’s time to buckle up and enjoy the ride.
