Manchester United’s revised fixture list has been confirmed after Sunday’s game against Liverpool was postponed due to protests against Glazer.

Assuming all subsequent games take place, United have an insanely busy schedule.

There will be a slew of games next week, with United playing Aston Villa on Sunday, Leicester on Tuesday and Liverpool on Thursday.

All after a Europa League semi-final tonight.

  1. Rome (A) May 6th
  2. Aston Villa (A) May 9th
  3. Leicester (H) May 11th
  4. Liverpool (H) May 13th
  5. Fulham (H) May 18
  6. Wolves (A) 23. May
  7. Europa League Final (?) May 26

This is a chance for the United squad to really come in handy. Too often, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was dependent on a core group of players.

United has the roster to deal with this stretch, but the challenge will be whether to pick the right combination of players for the right games.

The five-day stretch against Villa, Leicester and Liverpool is particularly challenging, especially given the quality of the opponents.

There are seven United players in particular who are likely to benefit from the increased rotation requirement …

Donny van de Beek

Premier League Minutes played this season: 332

These games could be the chances Van de Beek needs to establish himself as a key player for United. Bruno Fernandes will rest in at least one of these games for the Dutchman to step in.

Alex Such

Premier League minutes played this season: 512

Telles has had to play second fiddle to a rejuvenated Luke Shaw since joining. How many of the three league games he plays depends on his engagement against the Roma today.

Amad Diallo

Minutes played in the Premier League this season: 0

Amad is still waiting for his Premier League debut and his chance is sure to be around the corner. With the squad to be tested to the limit, Amad can provide the spark that his teammates need. He’s been lively for the under 23 year olds and deserves his chance to improve.

Axel Tuanzebe

Premier League Minutes played this season: 132

Axel Tuanzebe’s only league start this season was losing to Sheffield United. He’ll happily atone for it if given the opportunity.

Brandon Williams

Minutes played in the Premier League this season: 7

For Brandon Williams, this has been a season to forget, and a credit exit is likely in the summer. He’s the most likely candidate to fill in when Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets a much-needed break.

Juan Mata

Premier League Minutes played this season: 338

Mata has not yet started a league game in 2021. This could change soon. He could play an important rotating role in the next fourteen days and will appreciate his chances of starting at least one game. It would be a reasonable call to include him again.

Eric Bailly

Premier League Minutes played this season: 637

Only one injury could keep Eric Bailly from participating in these three games for the next week. He could play in two of them depending on whether he plays Roma tonight.
