Rio Ferdinand is predicting Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Manchester United this summer.
Speaking to FIVE on YouTube, Ferdinand expects Ronaldo to remain at Manchester United because the club simply can’t afford to let him go.

Ferdinand predicts whether Cristiano Ronaldo will stay or leave
Ferdinand believes Manchester United will stick to their guns and keep his former teammate at Old Trafford for the final year of his contract.
He said: “Man United can’t afford to let him go. That’s the problem.
“Say we believe the reports, and you have to respect he’s had some issues personally, where do Man United find 20 goals now, in the transfer market?
“The only reason Man United don’t let Cristiano Ronaldo go now is because there will be a void of 20 plus goals in the team. You can’t just let that walk out the door with no reinforcements in place.”
Ferdinand expressed skepticism that Anthony Martial will be able to lead the line effectively in Ronaldo’s absence. In seven seasons at the club, he has scored more than 20 just once, and last season netted just twice.
He said: “Martial coming back, yeah but he’s still got a lot to prove. We’re in pre-season. The front line looks good, lively, let’s get back to the season when the pressures on, I want to see the same. Then i’ll start saying yes, get out the contracts.”

Ferdinand raises a good point that nobody should get carried away by Anthony Martial’s pre-season form. That being said, it has been encouraging to see the Frenchman scoring again.
United have been linked with signing two forwards, Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic and Red Bull Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko, The Mail report.
Both players would add vital depth up front, but neither would guarantee 20 goals. Ronaldo struck 24 last season, although perhaps to the detriment of those around him. No other forward scored more than six goals.
United have one month remaining to make a decision on Ronaldo, and to sign a replacement or two. Ferdinand has made his prediction, but there are no guarantees how this will play out.
Dan is still wondering what would have happened if United had kept Juan Veron…
