As Manchester City held their Premier League trophy high and celebrated their hard earned win, there was a stylish new piece of metal spotted.

Footballer Jack Grealish and teammates were spotted wearing chains, pearls and even crucifixes as they took to the streets of Manchester to celebrate their win.

Alex Cannon, Founder + Creative Director of CRAFTD, commented, “We knew pearls and pearl necklaces would be a huge trend for men this year, and weren’t surprised to see some of the Manchester City team like Phil Foden and Jack Grealish wearing their own.

hough not a hugely commercial product – we knew that pearls was something that our customers would love; so we launched our collection exclusively to our existing customer base with four styles & it sold out within the first hour. Since the demand for more has been huge for everyone who missed out, wanting to know when the next drop will land.”

Whilst the City boys might have teamed theirs with their winning blue shirts, pearls are predicted to be a huge trend this year. Google searches for ‘Men’s pearls’ have risen by 93% in 2022 compared with last year, and men have spoken; pearls are here to stay.

Alex added: “The pearls are going to be a big look this summer. Whether it’s just one style on its own as a subtle nod to your personal style, or layering up a few together for a statement look like we’ve seen Jack wearing.”
