Manchester United players celebrate reaching the Europa League final.

United suffered an upside-down second leg against Roma, which itself meant a 3-2 defeat, but ended with an 8-5 aggregate win after a thrilling 6-2 home win.

Edinson Cavani scored both United goals that night and he was the difference between the two legs.

United’s players posted on social media following the overall win.

Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba were among the players who posted the news.

Pogba won the trophy with United back in 2017 and will be desperate to get their hands on silverware again.

Defender Eric Bailly was back on the line-up and although delighted with the team’s progress, he referred to a “frustrating” night with United conceded three goals in the second half.

Captain Harry Maguire is looking forward to the positive and is happy about reaching the finals.

After four excruciating semi-final losses as a skipper and a World Cup semi-final defeat, it was important for Maguire to achieve this two-legged victory.

United face Villarreal in the final, who beat Arsenal 2-1 overall after a 0-0 draw in the Emirates.

The draw will take place on May 26th as United have to play five Premier League games in between.
