Manchester United are ready to face Liverpool.
United welcome their bitter rivals at Old Trafford and seek to narrow the gap between the teams to just one point.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team came back to the 3-2 win against Atalanta on Wednesday evening and the atmosphere at the end was electrifying.
Assistant boss Mike Phelan sent the fans a short message before the big kick-off.
Phelan also gave a note to supporters after creating this noisy wall during the week.
United fans and players alike should be excited for this game, and Phelan made it clear he is too.
Another fantastic @ ChampionsLeague night out last night at Old Trafford. Great 12th man when we stepped into the second half of Stretford 👏🏻⚽️ 👂 We really appreciate that that roar pushes us on. See you all again Sunday 👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/5J319t4Z6v

Phelan has seen it all before when it comes to United versus Liverpool. He was, of course, the former assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson.
That experience will benefit United, but they need to start better than midweek.
The 4-2-4 system Solskjaer chose was too open and Phelan is part of the coaching team responsible for getting that team selection to the point.
United also have some doubts about injuries, including Bruno Fernandes and Fred, so the team news could include a surprise or two.
