Prior to Kovar’s inclusion, Hasselbaink’s side had only managed six clean sheets from 40 League One games this season.
It’s clear that bringing Kovar into the side has helped tighten up a leaky backline and the Manchester United one will no doubt be targeting a further two clean sheets to finish the season with a perfect record.

The former Leeds United and Chelsea striker told the club’s website: “We rode our luck a little bit in the second half, but we got our blocks in and you have to have that, a determination to keep a clean sheet. They hit the post as well and our keeper had to make two or three good saves.
“We gave more chances away than the previous matches, but the determination was brilliant from the lads.
“Keeping clean sheets is a collective thing and I like my goalkeepers not to have to make saves. Eventually they will have to and Matej has done that today, but you have to give credit to the whole back five for another clean sheet.”
Kovar has been named in the Sky Bet League One team of the week for two gameweeks running.
