Manchester United youngster Charlie Veevers has left the club.

The teen has posted on Instagram confirming that he has signed a deal with Swansea City.

In his post, Veevers thanked United for his development after 10 years in the club’s academy.

Veevers was part of Manchester United’s U16 academy group last season.

He is a central midfielder, a position that United’s academy group is currently very strong in through the U18 and U23 academy levels.

Several players on his U16 team were promoted to U18 last season, including Kobbie Mainoo, Louis Jackson, James Nolan, Jack Kingdon, Max Oyedele, James Nolan and Daniel Gore. Veevers was not among them and is reported to have been released and allowed to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

It didn’t take Veevers long to find a new club and he’s hoping to put his coaching years at United to good use.

He follows teammate Owen Hampson from the club who signed with the Sheffield United Academy. We wish him all the best.
