Having just recovered from an injury, Amad was not named to the Ivory Coast squad during this hiatus.

Amad used the time between his training engagements for Manchester United to do a bit of sightseeing.

The Manchester United teenager posted a picture outside Buckingham Palace in London.

Preparing for a comeback

Fabrizio Romano reported over the weekend that Amad is nearing a full return to fitness.

He claimed Amad was 10 days away from returning to full training, suggesting he will be expected back shortly after the Atalanta game.

There is serious competition for a seat at United and it may take Amad a while to build a first-team squad.

But he might be targeting the away trip to Atalanta on Tuesday November 2nd as a potential engagement opportunity.

Expanded Champions League benches and the five-substitution rule give Amad more options.

And it could also just come in handy as a guide as United are traveling to Italy to play against their former club.

Any inside information Amad could give about the stadium, team, etc. could be useful.

Amad would also be eligible to play at the U19 level in the UEFA Youth League if United chose to drop back and build his fitness.

Fabrizio Romano also reported that the most likely scenario for Amad is for him to be loaned out through January. Until then, he will try to make himself useful and take every opportunity that presents itself.
