Manchester United players have worked hard in the summer heat to get in shape ahead of the coming season.

United’s players are currently on pre-season summer camp in Surrey and are choosing to stay in the UK.

That decision was confirmed by a summer heat wave that brought temperatures to England normally associated with travel destinations.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s scheduled summer tour of America this week was canceled due to Covid, which messed up pre-season preparations.

United’s players worked hard in the heat as these pictures show. The 27 players in the camp, including several young players, were shown against each other sprinting and doing ball work.

Hannibal, Jesse Lingard, Shola Shoretire, Mason Greenwood, Facundo Pellitri, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong, Dylan Levitt, Teden Mengi and Scott McTominay are among the players pictured below.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was able to take a more relaxed look as his players were sweaty in the blazing heat.

The most unusual image of the session saw full-back Brandon Williams in goal. Hopefully at no point in the future will he have to play a John O’Shea versus Tottenham, but he looked competent enough.
