Alejandro Garnacho is celebrating his first international appearance for Spain.

Garnacho made his debut for the Spanish U18s at a mini-tournament in Romania.

Spain face Romania, Turkey and Portugal. Today is the final against their Iberian neighbors.

Garnacho, pictured below wearing the number 17 jersey, wrote about his “honor” at his international bow.

Garnacho’s international involvement was the reason for his absence from Manchester United’s U18 game against Middlesbrough last week.

The English U18 duo Sam Mather and Daniel Gore also missed the game with a 3-3 draw.

Garnacho, who also played in the U23 this season, started to find some form in September.

He scored four goals in two games against Birmingham City and Newcastle, scoring three from open play and one from a direct free kick.

The former Atletico Madrid youngster is only 17 years old and has a very bright future ahead of him.

The engagement at international level will give him a different perspective for his development and he will return to United with more confidence.
