Cristiano Ronaldo was pictured in Manchester United’s new shirt.

The pictures were released as Ronaldo scheduled his return to Old Trafford on the day of the transfer deadline.

This is a picture Manchester United fans have dreamed of since 2009 and it has finally become a reality.

No number known yet

United have released a video clip showing what Ronaldo’s name will look like on the back of the new shirt.

However, it was very deliberate not to scan and reveal the number Ronaldo will receive.

United are hoping to give Ronaldo their iconic number 7 shirt if the Premier League allows it.

Edinson Cavani didn’t wear the shirt against Wolves until Sunday and United would need special clearance to make the move.

Cavani would most likely switch to the number 21 vacated by Dan James, a number he has worn for Uruguay for the past 10 years.

After the international break, Ronaldo is hoping for his debut. United have a home game against Newcastle on September 11th.
