Manchester United is moving. Slowly. A first offer has been made for Jadon Sancho.
This emerges from the German BILD newspaper. With a reported £ 60 million plus add-ons, it is well below the Dortmund offer price.
It is a start, however, and hopefully negotiations will get rolling from here.

This week, up to this point, it had looked like no progress was being made. That offer at least shows that United are trying to close a deal early.
Tying a transfer before Euro 2020 would be huge. England’s first game will be against Croatia on Sunday.
There is a risk that Sancho’s price could skyrocket from strong performance at the tournament and it makes sense to act quickly.
Second bid is required
After the botched negotiations last summer, weakening Dortmund may not be the smartest idea, so United’s strategy carries a risk.
However, Sancho is said to be interested in putting his future in order and wants to sign with United, reports Sportbild.
While it is good to see the snail’s fast-paced negotiations progress, United supporters responded to reports of the initial bid with a mixture of impatience, encouragement and concern.
Others just want the whole saga to be over. United have other goals too, and that was a deal that should have been made last summer.
Here’s a look at some of the responses on social media …
I love how disinterested I am in these #sancho transfer talks. lol if it goes well, if we fool around again till the window closes again, well too I was way too invested in the deal last summer that i was so disappointed when it didn’t happen so yeah that’s me for this Year !! ✌️

Please make this negotiation a lot easier @BVB Give us Sancho at a reasonable price

Sancho will be the first signature made with patience, good negotiations and on our terms. If it succeeds in the 70-80 m ballpark during the glazing period, you have been here for 16 years ……

No reason why we can’t get Sancho finished by Saturday and then concentrate on Varane and Trippier after the European Championships
