Fabrizio Romano gave an update on Manchester United’s persecution of Jadon Sancho.
Kind of. Romano says the United representatives and Jadon Sancho got in touch.
There is still no breakthrough at Borussia Dortmund. Talks with the German club are to be continued.
Manchester United were also in contact with Jadon Sancho’s camp over the weekend. 🔴 #MUFC
The negotiations with Borussia Dortmund about the price of € 95 million, bonus details and payment structure will continue in the next few hours / days. #Sancho

As for an update, that was really the minimum we’d hoped for from United. It’s not that here we go fans wait.
There’s still no breakthrough on a transfer fee, although we hope that could change.

United and Dortmund are still arguing about the total price, the breakdown of the transfer payment and the bonus payments.
The Athletic reported that United wanted to include a Ballon d’Or clause in the deal. Dortmund is against this idea.
Romano previously reported that United and Sancho agreed personal terms and brokerage fees so the contact between them this weekend was likely just an update to discuss where to negotiate with Dortmund.
It feels like this deal is finally going to be closed and United are clearly still active to make it happen. It just doesn’t go fast enough for everyone.
Sancho did not make it to the bench for England in the team’s opening game of the Euro 2020, a 1-0 win against Croatia.
