Manchester Union Brewery has announced that it will be holding a party on Saturday 3rd July to celebrate their second birthday, six months after the due date.

Just one of many to miss a special occasion due to the lockdown, the brewery has scheduled a mega party in their taproom to make up for that and has partnered with Manchester music heroes LOVE DOSE for a DJ takeover of the taproom.

The beer flows all afternoon, with the award-winning Manchester Union lager and bohemian black lager After Dusk served just yards from the brewery. In addition to the brewery’s award-winning lagers, there will also be Verdant See Food & Dance IPA on tap for the occasion. The IPA is soft and light, but incredibly deep with ripe flavors in abundance.

Manchester-based record label and events collective LOVE DOSE that throws irregular parties in places like Hidden, Stage & Radio, Kanteena will deliver the tunes and DJs like Bobby Ganoush, Chan, Craig Campbell, Efenar, Kerouac, Nalu & Pollen have guests shuffling off 12 noon to 8 p.m. in their seats.

Beehive Food and Pretzel & Spelled deliver the snacks in the form of freshly baked pretzels and Manchester eggs; Pickled eggs, wrapped in a mixture of Bury black pudding and sage and onion sausage meat, all covered with breadcrumbs. The handmade snacks are served free to any partygoer when they spend £ 10 or more at the bar.

Jamie Scahill, co-founder of the brewery, said, “It’s a great feeling to be able to celebrate our second birthday 6 months late, but to be honest, it’s good to be here after the last 15 months and to have a lot of familiar faces and a common pint ”

Entry to the event is free, and guests can just rock out on the day to join the celebrations – no reservations required.

Manchester Union Brewery is Manchester’s first and only dedicated craft lager brewery. They created their original 4.8% Manchester Union lager in 2019 using traditional Central European brewing methods, but with a Mancunic boast.

Every Saturday, Manchester Union opens the brewery’s doors from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. so visitors can drink just a few feet from where the lager is brewed. Guests will discover the unique way the team brews the lager, which is then poured from handcrafted side taps imported from the Czech Republic.
