Manchester Digital has announced the return of its Digital Skills Festival in 2022 for a week-long program that will bring industry and education together to address the shared goal of building a strong future for the digital and technology sectors. The February 2022 event will resume in-person events after the 2021 event was fully online due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Manchester’s leading automotive brand, Autotrader, has confirmed that it will be the main sponsor of the event and will share its knowledge and insights with delegates.
The event publishes the annual Manchester Digital Skills Audit, which audits more than 250 digital and technology companies to identify new or emerging trends and key issues and skills of increasing importance.
The Digital Skills Festival 2022 will take place between Monday, February 7th and Friday, February 11th and will be offered as a hybrid series of events and activities with face-to-face events as well as virtual events (if the restrictions permit).
Katie Gallagher, Managing Director of Manchester Digital, said, “Our Skills Festival 2022 will showcase the best digital and technology companies Greater Manchester has to offer and put them in front of the best graduates and job seekers.
“The Greater Manchester area is experiencing a greater shortage than ever due to the tremendous growth in the technology and digital industries accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Over the past 18 months, the pandemic has rapidly changed the way we work, live and shop. This will create even more opportunities and jobs, so we as an industry must start training and further qualifying our young employees. “
One of the top events on the Greater Manchester digital and technology industry calendar, the festival attracts leading industry professionals, educators, students and job seekers.
