Luke Shaw has been pictured back in Manchester United training ahead of Thursday’s Europa League game against Sheriff Tiraspol.
The 27-year-old hasn’t featured for the Red Devils since being hauled off at half-time in the chastening 4-0 defeat to Brentford in our second game of the season.

Following the humiliation against the Bees, Erik ten Hag’s first summer signing Tyrell Malacia has been in control of the left-back berth.
The former Southampton youngster missed Thursday night’s 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad, but he has been pictured training at Carrington today ahead of our trip to Moldova.

Shaw has seemingly become second-choice to Malacia and like his fellow England international and Manchester United captain Harry Maguire, he faces a tall order re-establishing himself in Ten Hag’s starting line-up.

His fortunes may not improve on the international front either as The Mirror reports that Shaw does not expect to be included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad this week due to his lack of fitness and game time.
It’s quite the fall from grace for the man who scored England’s opener in the European Championship final against Italy last summer.
With the likes of Ben Chilwell, Tyrick Mitchell and Kieran Trippier all vying for the Three Lions’ left-back spot, Shaw is seemingly in danger of missing out on a spot at this winter’s World Cup.

Being dropped by Southgate could well prompt an uplift in form and focus at United.
If United’s number 23 has shrugged off the foot problem which has been hampering him recently, he could make his return in Moldova on Thursday night.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Shaw was given the benefit of doubt despite Alex Telles waiting in the wings, but under Ten Hag, under-par performances from the 21-time England international aren’t going to cut it.
