While many of Manchester United’s prospects moved up to the first team over the weekend, some even younger players had their own run.

A closed-door friendly took place against QPR, in which United won 6-4.

As noted by United youth historian Mujac, Charlie McNeill, 2, Noam Emeran, 2, Omari Forson and Sam Murray featured on the match report.

The youngest player on the pitch was United defender Louis Jackson.

Jackson, 15, is an England youth international and one of United’s highest rated candidates.

Last season Jackson played four times for the United U18 team, including two full 90 minutes.

United played a couple of “official” U23 games later in the preseason.

One team will face the Stalybridge Celtic on July 27th and then the Kidderminster Harriers on August 6th before the league matches begin.
