Two world class lifestyle brands are working together to bring Manchester a new and exciting all-day offering.

INNSiDE Manchester, part of Meliá Hotels International, and Gino D’Acampo Hotels & Leisure have worked together to bring Manchester a new all-day dining experience – First Street Bar & Kitchen.

The news follows the announcement of an exclusive partnership between the two world-class brands through which they will jointly create a new hotel empire, set a new standard for accessible, modern hospitality and offer a comprehensive solution for food and beverages in many international locations.

As part of the partnership, Gino D’Acampo’s experienced team is opening a range of high-quality Italian restaurants with the global hotel giant and creating internationally-inspired menus for a number of leading Melia locations that are tailored exclusively to the destination.

First Street Bar & Kitchen, opening on Monday May 17th, according to the government roadmap, is the first exciting execution where Gino and his handpicked team are working closely with INNSiDE Manchester to deliver an exceptional dining and beverage experience curate and deliver for hotel guests and locals alike. It will be Gino’s third offering in town, joining his popular restaurants The Corn Exchange and Manchester Arndale.

At the opening, Gino D’Acampo Hotels & Leisure is investing £ 250,000 in new kitchen facilities, an extended terrace that wraps two sides of the impressive building and can accommodate an additional 64 guests, and in operation. The partnership will protect 20 jobs and create another 30.

As you would expect from two brands with roots in the Mediterranean, the vibe of the spacious, open restaurant and lounge is relaxed, with stylish, comfortable seating for 200 guests.

Extensive floor-to-ceiling glass windows flood the room with natural light. Velvet furniture in rich gemstone tones ensures a strong color injection on the cool tiled floor. Trailing plants hanging from the ceiling add further interest with a photographic wall depicting iconic world firsts along with leading Manchester destinations and providing an additional focus.

At the end of the restaurant, the focus is on the Spritz Bar – a large island bar with a copper effect for 40 people. Serves a generous number of splashes, from the classic Aperol Spritz to the restaurant’s typical Pino Spritz – a mixture of Prosecco Primo, Fabbri Fiori Di Sambuco and Fever-Tree Soda, garnished with mint leaves and lime, as well as a selection of classics and contemporary drinks, it’s the perfect place to have a drink after work, nibble in front of the theater, or meet up with friends.

In a second central bar, guests can enjoy a mix of cocktails and premium wines, beers and spirits. Local DJs provide the perfect background soundtrack for the beautiful surroundings, making it a travel destination in its own right.

Outside, a spacious terrace offers space for 120 people. It catches the sun from morning to night and is one of Manchester’s best kept secrets. It offers the chance to soak up the atmosphere of the thriving First Street neighborhood with HOME, Manchester’s contemporary time hub, theater, film, art, music and more just a stone’s throw away. Have a seat in the afternoon and enjoy the early evening nibbles served with the compliments of the restaurant.

The eclectic all-day menu features an extensive selection of internationally inspired dishes carefully selected by Gino’s team of talented executive development chefs.

Typical dishes include whole boneless sea bass with tikka spices, mint yogurt and lemon (£ 19.95); Meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce with chilli and basil and served with toasted ciabatta (£ 13.95); and cod a la plancha with chorizo, new potatoes, cherry tomatoes and rosemary (£ 20.50). For those looking for a lighter bite, there is also a generous selection of plates and salads.

On another small menu that reflects the social character of Mediterranean food, guests can enjoy up to 14 dishes that go perfectly with a glass of sparkling wine or a cold beer. The dishes on offer include Parma ham bruschetta with spicy nduja, honey and pistachios; crispy rice croquettes filled with creamy Taleggio cheese and peas; fried chili squid with Thai herbs and noodle salad; and cheesy fries (V); with three plates for £ 10, six plates for £ 18 or nine plates for £ 27.50.

Those visiting the hotel for a formal or business event will also have the opportunity to enjoy the culinary expertise of the Italian chef with a range of banquet and delegate menus put together by Gino’s team. Prices range from £ 30 per person to £ 50 per person for a banquet menu and from £ 25 per person for day delegates.

Some of the measures to prioritize the safety of guests and staff during this time include: a new signage system to inform customers and indicate how spaces are used and the importance of social distancing; installing protective bars at reception and other public areas; Disinfection stations and digital concierge.
