After a long wait, Manchester United are back on track tonight. It’s fair to say that the team owes us a great achievement.
Last week’s defeat to Wolves is fondly remembered and upcoming opponents Aston Villa will be equally embarrassed after winning 1-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season.
Ralf Rangnick has many line-up decisions to make, starting with which formation to choose.
The 4-2-2-2 was exposed by wolves last week and it would be a surprise if Rangnick revisited it. We could see the interim boss return to a formation closer to that of United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s, a 4-3-3.

Who does Rangnick choose?
There are many variables that go into United’s selection tonight. We tried to predict how Rangnicks Red Devils would play.
In the gate we should see Dean Henderson making his usual cup appearance. Rangnick wants to keep Henderson and giving him play time is important to keep him happy.
Luke Shaw will miss United’s next game through suspension so it would be foolish to risk Alex Telles injured here. Expect the England international to stay as a left-back.
On the right we should see a change, with Diogo Dalot’s recent performances being better than Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s. The Portuguese ace should come back.
In central defense, Phil Jones will be fit for Victor Lindelof again. Harry Maguire lagged behind on his return and should be on the bench. Lindelof and Varane could be the best partnership for United.
Fred will return to midfield, Nemanja Matic is out, as is Bruno Fernandes. The playmaker could play a more secluded role as part of a more compact threesome, with Scott McTominay as well.

The shift in formation would mean that only one striker starts and Edinson Cavani is out. Cristiano Ronaldo will start at the beginning.
Mason Greenwood will be on the right and Marcus Rashford on the left, even if his form doesn’t really deserve it. Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga are also considered.
In: Henderson, Lindelof, Dalot, Fred, Fernandes, Rashford
Out: De Gea, Jones, Wan-Bissaka, Matic, Sancho, Cavani,
