Winger Dan James is back in Manchester United training.

James has been out of action since United drew 0-0 in Leeds in late April.

James was trained with the rest of the first team squad on Sunday.

James will try to make a late push to advance to United’s Europa League finals.

While unlikely to start, it is possible if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes there is one particular tactical match where James’ speed gives United a clear advantage.

He has to prove his fitness first, and that starts with United’s meetings with Fulham and then Wolves next week.

It is likely that he will start at least one of them, and it may be picked for both, with United trying to rest more regular starters before the final.

James has five goals for United this season but only one assist.

Good news for James

It was a very good news day for the Welsh international who announced on Instagram that he was going to be a father.

James wrote overjoyed news that his girlfriend is expecting a boy later that year.

With the young man expecting to be a dad, he’ll likely try to stay at United this summer instead of leaving and uprooting himself if given the choice.

James returned to Anthony Martial to return to the first team training session for Sunday’s session.

The pair will be looking to make an impact in the last two games, trying to give Solskjaer an extra option to use against Villarreal if necessary.
