Ronaldo ‘happy to be back’

Ronaldo sent a message out after the game via Instagram, conveying his thoughts on making his return at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese superstar says he is ‘happy to be back’, an indication he may be content to stay after all.

There was some controversy on social media after the game after Ronaldo was seen leaving Old Trafford before the final whistle, The Mirror report.

But it’s unlikely this would have happened without the approval of manager Erik ten Hag, whatever the reason, even if it was far from a great look.

Its very doubtful Ronaldo will start against Brighton next weekend, but he is likely to be part of the squad when United’s season kicks off.

Dan is still wondering what would have happened if United had kept Juan Veron…
