Ronaldo is expected to be free on Tuesday or Wednesday to meet up with his new teammates.

Then preparations begin for his second debut for the club on Saturday against Newcastle.

Ronaldo is expected to start and is rested after a suspension for Portugal paved his way to join Manchester United a little faster.

International team-mate Bruno Fernandes is still with Portugal and helped them to a 3-1 win over Qatar on Saturday. Portugal will then meet Azerbaijan away on Tuesday evening.
