Ralf Rangnick has made five changes to the team that lost 1-0 to Wolves last time out and the big news is that Cristiano Ronaldo has the night off.

Diogo Dalot comes back to the squad when Aaron Wan-Bissaka falls on the bench and Victor Lindelof returns for the first time after being knocked out against Norwich in December with difficulty breathing and then tested positive for Covid-19.

There are also callbacks for Fred, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes to captain the team tonight.

Here you can see how the lineup compares to the predicted XI.

This is the first of two encounters against Villa within six days, as the Red Devils travel to Villa Park for the kick-off on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

The Villains have already won at Old Trafford this season after winning 1-0 under Dean Smith in September.

Kortney Home scored a header from a corner in the 88th minute before Fernandes shot a penalty over the bar well into stoppage time.

The winner of today’s clash will face the championship team Middlesbrough in the fourth round.
