Chris Smalling should be available for Manchester United in the Europa League this week if selected.
The former United center-back struggled with injuries and had not played a game since March 7.
This game itself was its first launch since late January.
On Sunday evening, Smalling was back on Roma’s starting line-up when they faced Cagliari.

Could be significant
Roma are without center-back Mancini after receiving a yellow card in the second leg against Ajax, which means he is suspended from the Europa League semi-finals this week.
Roma play with a three-man defense and without smalling the options would have been easy for them. His return is perfectly coordinated from their point of view.
Smalling played 59 minutes as Roma stumbled to a 3-2 away defeat. Two goals were conceded while he was on the field.
After Football Italia’s game manager Paulo Fonseca was quoted as saying, “He did very well. It was important that Chris had at least 45 minutes of play time, he had more than that and I think it was positive. Now he has a chance to play against Manchester United. “

Mkhitaryan fights for form
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was a replacement for Roma in the second half when they lost.
He failed to stop an alarming slide in his form.
The former United striker has 11 goals and nine assists this season but has not seen any since late January.
That is a period of 14 games without a goal or support. United have to be careful as form can go out the window in big games but better to face him now than how he played earlier in the season.
