Chelsea warmed up on Sunday with a 4-0 win against Juventus for their Manchester United clash.
It was an imperious performance by Thomas Tuchel’s side, who still do without former United striker Romelu Lukaku.
Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner sealed Juve’s worst defeat in the Champions League so far.
It wasn’t a perfect night for Tuchel, however, as N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell both sustained injuries.

According to Sky Sports, Tuchel spoke about the fitness of both players after the final whistle.
He said of Chilwell, “I worry because he was in such a fantastic moment – like Reece (James) on the other side. They were in the best possible shape, so strong and so confident, with so much quality.
“He was in a lot of pain, now he is a little better. He’s got an exam tomorrow (Wednesday) to be more specific. Hopefully we’ll get away with it, fingers crossed, with not too bad news. “
Unfortunately for Chelsea, The Guardian reports, Chilwell could be out long-term due to a suspected ACL injury.
Adding to Kante, “N’Golo is a little bit similar,” he added. “He got stronger and stronger in the first half, but twisted his knee a bit. Hopefully it’s not that bad. “
Kant’s injury is believed not to be as severe as Chilwell’s, but it remains in doubt for the game this weekend.

The absence of both players could benefit United ahead of this weekend trip to Stamford Bridge.
Chilwell has soared three goals in his last six Premier League games to assist against his former club Leicester on Saturday.
Edge went one better and scored against his old team, and Tuchel would sorely miss his energy and discipline against United.
Chelsea showed their strength last night and even without the injured pair they would be formidable opponents but Tuchel, who has to shuffle his pack, would benefit Michael Carrick on Sunday.
