Animal Crossing has a history of throwing the most incredible parties in the most unusual places.

Merging music and art to create bespoke environments is transforming everything from abandoned car dealerships to railroad arches, with Summer Of Love being her greatest adventure to date.

The two-day music, arts and wellness festival takes place on August 21-22, 2021 in the grounds of an abandoned warehouse in the heart of Manchester city center.

The impressive program spans 3 music stages – the Summer Of Love line-up reflects Animal Crossing’s ethos of only presenting the best from the underground scene.

On Saturday, Animal Crossing teams up with the legendary Gottwood Festival, which takes the reins of the Love Factory (main stage) and welcomes ZIP, one of the most respected selectors on the scene today. He is joined by the Romanian faithful Praslesh (Raresh b2b Praslea), SIT, Priku, Sepp & Nu Zau. The Second Stage is led by Turkish magician Onur Ozer alongside pioneer Evan Baggs and aspiring RA + RE resident Ethel.

Sunday is one for the mind as ARPIAR is coming to Manchester for the first time in over a decade. The trio of Raresh, Petre Insperecsi & Rhadoo brings with them a fourth member, Dreamrec, who promises to deliver an overwhelming visual performance that works in perfect harmony with the set, creating a full 360 degree experience.

The Love Factory also welcomes fan favorite Dyed Soundorom; the Apollonia frontman brings 3 hours of deep grooves before switching to the Romanian trio. The second stage continues to set the pace with an equally impressive Sunday selection as local hero Josh Baker moves to French voter Charlotte. The day continues with party starter Truly Madly and prepares the framework for a conclusion set – a world first B2B for the unique Shonky & Traumer.

The festival places great emphasis on community and offers a variety of connecting experiences throughout the day, including a full course program from the national yoga platform Blok; Together with Mind Manchester you organize your own wellness area. There will be a record fair on site with a selection stage – the local sales outlets Basement Wax, Vinyl Pimp, Wax Material will be represented for all participating crate graves.

Summer Of Love will also be one of the first festivals in the world to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment.

Hosted by the Smolensky Gallery, Artist Corner welcomes a selection of local Manchester painters, designers, photographers and graffiti artists to synergize and create an environment of live art, communication and showcasing their amazing talents.

Animal Crossing lead illustrator Matthew Alker also gives an in-depth look at the impressive festival visual campaign.

The unbeatable addition to Manchester’s underground event sphere is rounded off by a street food market hosted by local food gurus Eat MCR. The team has selected the who’s who of Manchester Street Cuisine, including Nells Pizza, The Green Lab and FryBy.

A statement from Animal Crossing said: “This is our moment to reunite, rejoice, and celebrate the reopening of the world we love and have missed so much. The Summer of Love Festival represents our freedom, our connectedness, our artistic expression in an environment that was specially created for the two-day music, art and mindfulness experience. There is always a positive, always a light to shine brighter. It’s all about love. We can’t wait to see you in August, let’s dance as we mean. “
